Privacy Policy
Tuckmoon for iPhone, iPad and Android · Effective date: 26 October 2026
Tuckmoon is made by Qloovi AS, Norway (“Qloovi”, “we”). This policy explains what happens to information in the Tuckmoon app.
The short version
Everything you put into Tuckmoon (children’s names, faces, photos, countdowns and day plans) stays on your device. There is no account, no server of ours, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We collect no personal data about you or your children.
The app only talks to the internet to check, buy or restore Tuckmoon Pro. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, and our payment provider, RevenueCat, checks them under an anonymous ID. Details are below.
What the app stores, on your device only
The app saves the following in its own private storage on your phone or tablet:
- Children you add: name, face (a drawn animal, the first letter of the name, or a photo) and colour
- Countdowns: title, date, picture, colour, which child they belong to, and whether they repeat every year
- Today’s plan (Pro): the picture cards in each child’s plan and which ones are ticked off today
- Which moons have been “tucked in”
- Your settings: theme, whether the grown-up question is on, and similar preferences
- Whether Pro is unlocked (a cached copy; the store is the real record)
To show widgets, the app copies what the widgets need (countdown titles, dates, pictures, the child’s name and, with Pro, a small copy of a chosen photo) into a storage area that only the app’s own widgets can read (an App Group on iOS, app-private storage on Android). This also stays on the device.
We cannot see any of this. It is deleted when you delete the app. If your device makes its own backups (for example an iCloud or Google device backup that you have switched on), the app’s data may be included in that backup. Those backups belong to you and are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. We have no access to them.
Photos
If you choose to use a photo as a picture for a countdown or a child, the app opens the system photo picker (on some devices it first asks for access to your photo library) and copies only the photo you pick, made smaller, into the app’s own storage on the device. Photos are never uploaded, shared or sent to us or anyone else. The app does not use the camera. You can remove a photo at any time by choosing another picture or deleting the countdown or child.
Purchases (Tuckmoon Pro)
Pro is a one-time purchase made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment and your payment details. We never see your card, billing address, Apple ID or Google account.
To check whether Pro is unlocked, show the price in your currency, and make buying and “Restore purchase” work, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA), a service provider that processes purchase data on our behalf. When the app starts with an internet connection, and when you buy or restore Pro, the app contacts RevenueCat and sends:
- an anonymous app user ID: a random identifier created on the device, for example
$RCAnonymousID:3f1c…. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or advertising ID; - if you have bought Pro, the purchase receipt or token from Apple or Google, and the transaction details it contains (product, price and currency, date, store country, and whether it is active or refunded);
- basic technical information needed for the request (app and system version, platform, store country). Like any internet service, RevenueCat also receives your device’s IP address when it is contacted.
RevenueCat uses this only to validate purchases, tell the app whether Pro is unlocked, and give us anonymous sales reports. We do not send RevenueCat (or anyone else) the names, photos, countdowns or plans you create in the app, we set no customer attributes, and we do not use advertising IDs (the Android advertising-ID permission is removed from the app).
Legal basis (GDPR): performance of the purchase contract you enter into (Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in providing the purchase and restore functions and preventing fraud (Article 6(1)(f)). RevenueCat may process data in the United States. It relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for such transfers. RevenueCat’s privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Purchase records are also kept by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies: Apple and Google.
What the app does not do
- No user accounts, sign-in or email collection
- No advertising, ad networks or advertising identifiers
- No analytics, telemetry or third-party crash reporting
- No tracking across apps or websites
- No location, contacts, camera or microphone access
- No chat, messaging or sharing with other users
- No sale or sharing of personal information, ever
Links outside the app
Settings contains links to this website (tuckmoon.com), to qloovi.com, to the websites of our other products, and an email link to contact us. They sit behind the grown-up question and open in your browser or email app. Opening a link does not send any data from the app. Websites have their own privacy policies.
This website
tuckmoon.com has no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
Children’s privacy
Tuckmoon is a tool for parents and caregivers. It is set up, managed and paid for by an adult, and it is used together with children, for example to look at a countdown or tick off a morning routine. A grown-up question protects settings, editing, purchases and links.
We do not collect any personal information from children. A child’s name, face, photo and plans are entered by the parent and never leave the device. Nothing a child does in the app is sent to us or to any third party. The only data that leaves the device is the purchase information described above, which belongs to the adult’s store account.
- COPPA (United States): we do not collect, use or disclose personal information from children under 13 online, so no parental-consent process is needed. If you believe a child’s information has reached us, contact us and we will delete it.
- GDPR, including Article 8 (EU/EEA), UK GDPR and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code: the app processes no personal data of children outside the device. It has no profiling, no behavioural advertising, no nudges to share data and no geolocation, and privacy-protective settings are the default.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act) you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data and to object to processing. Because all app data stays on your device, you control it directly: edit it in the app, or delete the app to delete it all. For the purchase record held by RevenueCat, email us and we will delete the anonymous customer record. Your purchase stays valid with Apple or Google and can be restored later. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Norway: Datatilsynet).
Security
App data is kept in the app’s private storage, protected by your device’s own security (passcode or biometrics, device encryption). Purchase data is sent to the stores and RevenueCat over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page, tuckmoon.com/privacy, and update the effective date above. If we ever add a feature that sends data off the device (for example optional cloud backup), we will update this policy before releasing it and explain it in the app.
